The Police Personnel Board gives examinations to candidates for the Police Department, as well as examinations for appointment or promotions within the Police Department.
The Board also resolves appeals from suspensions or terminations of sworn officers.
There are five positions on the Board, with two of the two-year terms rotating out every year.
The Board meets on an as-needed basis.
