Arnold Recreation Center offers Child & Youth Swim Classes for the following skill levels as a group, private, or intensive experience from age 6 months through age 10 years.

Youth swim lessons

Bubble Boats (Ages 6 mos – 3 yrs)

Our Bubble Boats group swim class is for children ages 6 months to 3 years old with no swimming experience. This class is designed as a water orientation course where children will learn to be comfortable in an aquatic setting. Parents will learn various techniques, water-based games, and proper water safety for infants. Parents/Guardians will accompany children in the water for the entire session. To keep our pools free of fecal matter, toddlers are required to wear swim diapers. This guideline has been adopted for the health and safety of all patrons who swim in our facility and is strictly enforced.

Sailboats (Ages 3 – 5 yrs)

Our Sailboats group swim class is for ages 3 to 5 years old with beginner level swimming experience. This group swim class is designed as a beginner level swimming class where children will learn the basic knowledge of swimming on their own with introduction to underwater activities, kicking, and buoyancy. To keep our pools free of fecal matter, toddlers are required to wear swim diapers. This guideline has been adopted for the health and safety of all patrons who swim in our facility and is strictly enforced.

Powerboats (Ages 4 – 6 yrs)

Our Powerboats group swim class is for ages 4 to 6 years old with basic swimming experience. This group swim class is designed to introduce basic stroke knowledge to children with unsupported front crawl, back crawl, and floating.

Speedboats (Ages 6 – 10 yrs)

Our Speedboats group swim class is for ages 6 to 10 years old with a moderate level of swimming experience. This group swim class is designed to do more in-depth stroke development and perfect front and back crawl as well as introduce elementary back stroke.
